Just be warned that it may be a real swc wearing a 64 vin tag....:*****:
I would check the frame and other places for the real serial number. Worse case senario....it's a hot 63 that's been living life as a 64 for all those years. You don't want the wrong people snoopin around, that's for sure.
If it's an early split it might have a 62 manufactured motor as well.
Anyway you look at it, she's a beauty.

Kind of typical here. He hasn't been back on the Forum since he posted. I was going to offer to look at it for him if he's close by. Hopefully he comes back at some point to view the responses.

I tracked down the guy who did the body work back in '74. He's still in business and he remembered the car. He verified the story about the tree limb and even verified his signature on the bill of sale that was in the car. He said he bought the car from the insurance company after they totaled it. He happened to have a 63 on his lot and pieced it back together. Sold it to the guy I bought it from. So it looks legit.
