54 firewall holes
I've seen a similar post for other years, but could not find one on the '54. See photos below. The holes in the firewall are marked with letters, and I've also attached a photo of grommets marked with numbers. I did not mark the heater, as that is obvious, and I think I know what goes in some of these, but I figured I would just leave them all blank, so I don't make assumptions. In addition to identifying what goes through each hole, if you could then state the number of the grommet to be used, or if none of the identified grommets are correct for a particular hole, then let me know that. Hole "H" is inboard of the steering column, low on the firewall. What goes in there? Also, "D" is two small holes spread wide apart, and I don't know if something is attached there. I think my starter relay is the smaller holes below "C". The items I need to feed/identify are at least these:
vacuum for washer
wire harness to starter
tach
choke
Water temp
oil pressure
speedometer
wire harness to front of car
parking brake (I)
Thanks!

D - holes for the screws for the heater core - they are hex head with a captured washer
A - w washer hoses - that is the correct grommet
B - Tach cable to the distributor
C - Electric harness to the starter and PG relay

I - that is the parking brake - there is a large nut that goes on the back of the assy and a hole above it for a bolt (comes from the inside out)

Is the "H" hole I photographed, for the oil pressure line, or does that come out above with the water temp and wiper cable? Also, where is the speedo cable? Could that be the "H" hole?
