Cannot believe no one has recommended this yet??? Comes in an old style can, so it must be good for old guys with old cars. Amazon say's they only have one left, but more is on the way. Says it is recommended by Wayne Carini….. wonder if Roger is cool with it??? And, Amazon says you can get it gift wrapped!!!!!

Does he also tell you he loves you?
Does he respect you in the morning?

LOL but many members on here recommend them and there arent many in NJ that profess to know C2s. My appointment is next week. Im thinking they can do an eval/safety check and that's it. I can change the oil myself based on the expert advice I have received here.

For that price, I would check their work after the fact and verify that they had lubricated EVERY single grease fitting on the front end, as well as all the u-joints on the axles and driveshaft. Hell, for that price, they had better be lubing the door hinges, door latches, hood pins, and airing up the spare tire! Can't imagine a $165 oil change on an old Chevy V8. They made a gazillion of these engines and there is nothing exotic about 99% of them.

I did.......Ive seen old packards, T birds, etc. So last year I went there....he installed my rag joint upside down. I couldnt get the car into the driveway let alone around a curve. He apologized......then there was the brake leak, etc. So I asked and was referred to the paramedics lol. I may go back to the other guy, he almost killed me twice, maybe the third time's the charm.

I used to do all that with a lube job for $1(not counting the $4 oil/filter change. Some of the old Buicks and Olds had something like 28 grease fittings.

And................, if I pulled up and asked a price for a lube and oil change and they gave me that price. I'd get back in my car and drive off. That's after I told the guy what I thought of him and his prices. That's just plain insulting.

But hey, some guys think they have to pay $15K for a paint job so maybe that same bunch goes to this rip off place?

Well I'm actually glad I have you guys out there to rely on. I'm going to bag the appointment, continue to take my chances with the local grease monkey and take it from there. With that price for an oil change I cant imagine what else they will quote me if they find something wrong.

That used to be a $1 as well. How much is a $1 today with inflation?

OK we are off the rails here. Pray I dont create a new thread about the squeak coming from the left rear now. When I rock it. I know I know, pics. Could be bushings, springs, shock, gremlins.
