Default S.O Corvette

In addition to replying to forum members, Iíve been trying to navigate NCRS. I feel a little overwhelmed with pass words, rules......,but Iím very hopeful and very thankful for all who have advised or encouraged.
i wish Iíd found this forum a year ago.

S.O. = Shop Order. Used when a production vehicle was modified at/by GM Stying (aka GM Design) in the 50's-early 60's that tracked the car internally via the S.O. number and the S.O plate riveted to the hood opening; there was a file at Styling for each S.O. number that described in great detail exactly what was done to the car, usually with photographs.

Werner Meier, the Chairman of the Michigan NCRS Chapter, is very familiar with the S.O. process - he has researched and restored many S.O. vehicles.

Tom, I believe the guys' name was Rick Ritter (Ridder?). He was possibly a developer. I think he was a partner in a bar/restaurant that I remodeled.
Hope this might help.
