Florida junkyards
Any junkyards in Florida that might have C3's? I'm looking for 78-82 seats and those on ebay are often too far gone, incomplete and mostly too far away!
Way back when I first bought my car, we had a Vette only junkyard right here in Melbourne run by a later infamous Clarence Zacke who is still in prison after taking out a contract to kill the local state's attorney! I bought a few parts from him and then his inventory went to another yard in Rockledge where I shopped a few more times.
TIA

Have you looked on http://car-part.com/
That's a network of many, many parts yards. Most don't keep their inventory all that up to date, but, depending on how rare and how old what I'm looking for is, I can usually find something in the first half dozen to dozen calls. I haven't looked for C3 parts there, though. If you try it, post back on how it went.

Good 78 Pace Car and 79-82 seats are getting harder to come by.
I know they're on the other side of the state, but you might try Steve at C & S Corvette in Sarasota. Steve doesn't have a junk yard per se, but he does have a building full of parts from car's he's parted out. C & S's number is 941-923-5064.
You might want to talk to Norm at Werner's Corvette Parts in Port Orange. I don't know that Norm would have any of those seats, but he should be at Spring Carlisle next week, looking for parts. He might be able to pick up a decent set of seats at Carlisle. Norm's number is 386-304-2818.
If you do find a set of seats, look them over closely. The bottom buckets are often cracked or broken, especially on the sides and around the hinges.

The Corvette bone yard in Dade City used to be called Sunshine Corvettes. It was owned by the brother of Mike Yeager of Mid America Corvettes. The yard is 30 miles north of Tampa off SR 301. I would also call Corvette Shop and Supplies on Dale Mabry in Tampa. The shop has a large inventory of used parts. I think they bought out Lenny's shop which was called Classic Corvettes. Happy hunting. Jerry
