Now you can read it from front to back and learn how your car was built

I'm interested to know if it is readable as most AIMs have been so heavily copied, copied and then recopied from copies that it is difficult to read - particularly certain pages. Is you copy a good solid readable copy and if so - I would like to know where you purchased!

Me, too. I picked up a second-hand copy locally for very cheap, but man it is hard to decipher. A legible one would be worth the costs to get.

People read it? I was just trying to get Nowhere Man off my back!

Yes, it's readable. Below is a pic of one of the pages. I bought mine for $25 at the NCRS online store.

If someone wants me to check a certain page, let me know.

I see hardcopy AIMs for sale at swap meets and they are illegible. After digging deep online I found a free PDF download of a 63 AIM. Very readable.

I wish mine had an index. Finding specific info is painful.

The AIM ! The most important car document you can have next to a clear title. I swear, the C1 AIMs are easier to follow than the C2 versions.

There is a PC database with a keyword search for the 63 AIM. E.g. type in “horns” and it gives the section and page number. A guy over on the NCRS site developed it.

I worked in Reliability my last 10 years or so at Fremont ('65-'82) and one of our jobs was keeping the AIM's on the shop floor updated. JohnZ posted one of the best guides I've seen on how AIM's are structured and how to use them. Here's a copy in case you haven't seen it:

I spend a lot of time in the 63 AIM and its still a PITA...you have to know your way around it before some of the more arcane things are found... You need the Buck Rogers Secret Decoder Ring....

Horns ? Electrical or Body section ?
Turn Signals ? Steering or Electrical section ?

Index or not - some things are still a snipe hunt...

Default Got my AIM today

I know the AIM is held in high regard by C2 owners, but I have a different opinion. I'm not working on the assembly line, I'm not assembling the car, all I'm doing is maintaining the car.
When I bought my C2 last year [my last C2 was many decades ago], I was surprised at the lack of information out there.

I'm not a mechanic, but I do repairs and maintenance on my own cars, and rely on instructionals. For instance, I had to replace my radiator on my C4 last year, so I Googled it, and there was a nice fellow giving step by step instructions on a YouTube video.
I don't see many instructional walk throughs on the internet for C2s, or many manuals devoted to maintaining C2s. The AIM is like looking at 'alphabet soup' when a dictionary is needed.

You guys want a copy of the pdf AIM... The offer comes with no strings attached.... but will be good for two days only. This PDF file is also Ocr'd and has key word search text added.

Email me direct at Service@Willcoxcorvette.com. I'll send you a downloadable link for free until 06-10-2019. So you have two days to claim it... This is for 1961-1967 cars only.

Ernie

I sent all the email links out I believe, if you didn't get one then you didn't email me direct at Service@WillcoxCorvette.com. If I missed you email me at the link posted here. NOT through the forum.

Last day for this.

You also need the Shop Manual for your car. It tells you how to do most maintance jobs. Dave
