stripped float bowl fuel inlet Holley R3810/4160
I have a stripped float bowl fuel inlet on original Holley R3810/4160 and I'm stumped. I hope this image shows the problem. The thread in the float bowl filter side are completely stripped. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hello,
Probably the simplest way is to buy a vintage replacement bowl at a swap meet or on Ebay. These bowls were usually standard and interchange with many other Holley carbs so it is not a "numbers matching" problem. Just be sure it is from the same vintage as yours and be aware that Ford Holley's had the inlet on the opposite side and will not work. OR you could merely (I hate to even say this) epoxy it on but you would not be able to change the filter again. Spend a couple bucks and buy a used bowl.
Good luck!
