If you're going custom, might I suggest a slightly off-white interior? My wife's new 440i is stunning.

Reno curious about this stiffening rib (web). I see a vertical web was added and welded back to the top skin of the cross member. So the new web doesn't go to the bottom cross member skin? It doesn't appear to be welded or tacked to the bottom plate. I'm guessing that if the cross member is about 4" deep the new web is maybe 2" or 3"?

That's a good question(s) - from the pic; did you also weld to the bottom plate of the cross member ? - how was that done ? - did you cut a "slot" into the bottom of the cross-member s o you could weld it from the outside ? - GV

Before you get to installing the engine, have your fabricator put some thought into a removable upper a-arm mount cross brace that will clear the BBC balancer and fan (even if it means adding tabs to the upper a-arm uprights before painting).

Yes I even just last week posted a pic of one I saw on a c2 race car and ask if it was worth doing. And I will definitely be doing that mine mite be a little cooler than the norm. I will be putting Trad on that one

I'd like to thank everyone for the input. I'm slightly behind schedule so if I missed something that can be done quickly, before it goes to powder coat, let me know. Thanks

I purchased mine from Speed Direct....for the price, its actually a pretty nice piece but I'm sure with Trad's fab skills, he can come up with something cooler.

Please share pictures and source for any cool upper A arm brace.

Particularly a cool aluminum or steel with interesting lightening holes.
