Gotta be one of the very last C2s built.

Very pretty color combo.

Thanks!

Yes, it was built on the last day of Sting Ray production.

I’ve always wondered what the last day of production was like at the plant. I tell people my car was built with leftover parts that no one wanted that they found lying around the plant. And so they ended up with a white/teal/teal car that wasn’t a
popular combo. <LOL>.

Your car was produced with the same color combo on the exterior. My interior was bright blue. Dennis

Dennis - The color of the top is more blue than teal so I think your color combo is nicer.

Thanks, Frank.

BTW, I’m perfectly fine with people thinking white cars suck. That keeps the prices down on the color of cars I like.

I predict that once the population of white cars is reduced because of people painting them black, the value of white cars will start to go up because of their rarity. <LOL>.

Around $750,000 <LOL>.

Chronologically, my VIN is 22861. The last one is 22940. So 79 cars apart. I don't know how many of these things they can build in a day but I'm guessing my car must have been made very early in the morning of the last day.

Would that be more if it was black?

My back of the envelope calculation comes up with somewhere about 100-125 C2 Corvettes built each working day at St. Louis, but there are way too many variables to be sure.

Urban legend says they ran out of black paint on the last day and had to use some of the huge stockpile of white paint that no one wanted.

That's a great color combination and a sharp looking '67 convertible.

Beautiful car, Steve! You theory on the value of diminishing examples of colors didn't work for the Goodwood Green on my 67. GG was the most popular 67 Vette color, then it went out to style and they all got painted Resale Red. Did the value of an original GG car like mine go up accordingly? No. A few so-called Vette enthusiasts won't even buy a green car, thereby missing out on Chevy's version of BRG. Hang on to the white one!

I missed buying a white split window with red interior (340hp) from forum member Mike Terry a few years back. He had it at the Old Town NCRS meet and I was on my way to look it over when he sold it 20 minutes before I got there. To a couple of Norwegian guys IIRC...

Wow! White/red SWC. It doesn’t get much better than that for me. But, red/red is right up there with it.
