Default 61 hardtop restoration help

I am going to attempt a restoration of my hardtop, and have a few questions. First how are the inside stainless pieces that are above the windows held on? I have removed the three screws on each, but the stainless is still held tight. I don't want to damage them trying to remove them. Also any thoughts or suggestions or warnings would be appreciated. Thanks Ernie

I did mine....my conclusion at the end....I really didn’t save much money, should have gone with The Hardtop Shop. But if you insist, then you need to do a search on this forum as well as the internet. There is not one place you will get all the information but you will find pieces here and there that will get you through most of it.

Here is a link to the book I put together on my car build, you can down load it for free. https://www.blurb.com/b/1511633-red-...d?ebook=331964

look around page 177 or so, that is where my restoration started....my hardtop was for my ‘60, but they are all very similar. Google will be your friend....find your information before you go any further, it will save you time in the end....good luck!

Also search here, Advanced search using username jusplainwacky. Use braindump hardtop in the search string and it should pop up.

He did his 58 and DZVette did a PDF of the thread.
