[C2] Jack code

Jack code
did read an old post on this issue but it did not answer the question.
This is a photo of the jack that was in my 65 26 years ago when I bought the car.
any info?

Def not a 65 jack. Maybe C3

The A is the manufacturer. The date code would be on one of the rivets on the side but it started in 1967 if I remember correctly.

Judging by this picture from a parts vendor I would say you have a 69-74 C3 jack.

Agreed that it appears to be a C3 jack. The C2 jacks are noticeably narrower and shorter. Try to fit that into the well behind the driver's seat so that it sits parallel to the rear axles - bet it won't fit. The C2 jacks have a hex nut at the far end rather than a tapped rectangular block. -- at least in my experience between my '67 and '72 jacks.
