Hi
can anyone decipher the following tire date code? This is what’s after the DOT

Can you post a picture? The date code should like like this for tires made since 2000.

The 1st 2 digits are the week the last 2 the year.
If prior to 2000 the it's 3 digits and does not include the decade.
So that tire could be the 15th week of 1996.
My guess is you need new tires.

Looks like a tire from prior to 2000, when three-digit date codes were used. The first two digits are the week and the last digit is the year. So, this tire was likely manufactured in April 1996, 1986, or 1976. Yeah, you could not be sure in those days. The codes started in the early '70s.
