Ok John, I'm also working on project #2 The Chyrsler 500 HP V-10 Motorcycle
conversion in to Kid_Again's Small Block Vette. Trying to figure out how to get the extra 2 sets of 2 wheels into the passenger compartment area and fit the side pipes on....

Re: The Next CCC Projects... (lars)
To help out the engine swap project, I even built a couple of engine dollies on casters. I have 2 engine stands in my garage, but I figured that a couple of low-boy engine dollies with some big casters would be cool to have just to store the engines on and to roll them around. I built each one for about $25, so we'll post up some pics of the engines on the dollies for all you gadget & tool freaks out there.. you gotta' build some of these - they're pretty cool... Right now it's cold enough out here to turn my gin into slush, and the CCC lawnchairs have frozen to the driveway.... I better have another drink and wait for it to warm up so we can do this engine swap.
....And I didn't forget... the next CCC projects include a how-to garage paint job on Milehigh66's 427 convert and a custom under-car big-tube chambered exhaust with "X" pipe on blkblt's '66. Stay tuned for some great fun projects with the ultimate beer drinking fraternity...!
Here's a top secret picture I obtained of the CCC at work after they've had a bevy of brewskis!! Beware when they say they want to drop a new engine in your car!!!

Yup, castered dollies are handy - here's one of mine; handy for final dress, including clutch, bellhousing and transmission - stuff you can't do on a stand, and you can roll it around and get it out of the way when you're doing other things.
Been talkin' with Hogan64 and he mentioned your crate motor was bought through AR Racing. I've tried to find their website...no luck. Could you post where they are. Thinkin' about your 406 crate project has got my horsepower juices flowin'. :hurray: Curious, is your motor solid or hydraulic? Roller or not?:
I guess I'm a wussie!!!!!!! I'll wait till it warms up some before i do some of my projects.(or maybe I'm just getting old) because I sure hate the cold anymore.
But no matter what Lars and the other fibbers say, we NEVER work outside in anything colder than 0¡....our mitties stick to the metal stuff..... :seeya

Also, they often have auctions on eBay. Do a search under "383 engine" and you'll see their engines and feedback. I'll post more once we get it fired-up, but there are several guys in the C3 section that are happy w/ AR Racing.
My engine is a hydraulic 406, but I'm sure they'll work with you to give you exactly what you're looking for.
Don't be conned..... The CCC are working quietly on our own car; a ground up build of a big block.
I know I am breaking the CCC code of silence (CCC COS, for you government types) but here is the proto-type mock-up....

Re: The Next CCC Projects... (Blkblt)
Well Jeff, You have forced the "NJCC" to reveal our project. We will be more then happy to meet you at a mutual agreed upon drage strip to see who takes top honors. We are working on the placement of the "KEG" of Schmidts"
and expect to solve the problem soon.
I like dollies too. Here is one I bought at Carlisle a few years back. It came with a few options. A friend built the wooden skid we added to keep the real 67 L88 engine (slightly modified to facilitate a running demonstration) from flipping over when reved to 7600rpm.

The real trick is to knock off the beer cap at the exact moment after shaking up the beer bottle, thus releasing the pressure and shooting the car down the strip. Not for amatuers. This is why we employ a rocket scientist (Lars) to help us with the propulsion dynamics.
