Default Window guide grease type

Hi All
i redid my tracks about 7 years ago and uswd white lithium grease and the stuff is like glue now. Has anyone used silicon grease/dielectric grease for window tracks or Dry film Spray, what's the hot ticket.

No reason why nor superior intelligence, but I used wheel bearing grease. Hate Lithium grease.
I don't use grease on the window felts in the tracks, just the mechanicals. I have used silicone spray on the felts, but they shouldn't need anything if they are not worn and properly adjusted.

My experience is that any kind of 'grease' will ruin or defeat the purpose of the "fuzzie" in the track. Best stuff I have ever used is powdered graphite.

Ditto! I get such good results from the use of wheel bearing grease that's it's my "go to" lubricant most of the time.

That said, I've used Fluid Film a few times and have gotten good results with it also.

Example: When the door latch mechanism on my '60 became balky due to dried out factory lubrication, I indiscriminately sprayed the mechanism with Fluid Film (couldn't even see what I was spraying up inside the door). The latch immediately began functioning smoothly and has continued to do so for the last four years.

To the OP's question, I'd certainly be tempted to try FF on the window tracks.

JF - That's what I first thought too, when the OP mentioned 'channels' but pretty sure he's talking about the metal channels that the window regulator rollers glide on.
And, I just wrapped up two roadsters redoing everything inside the doors and have never had a problem with either, White Lithium or wheel bearing grease.
Even after 20+ years, when I've had to go back in there, the grease was a bit drier than what it was originally but still loose enough to allow good movement.

Aah, I get it now. My bad. Thanks for straightening me out. In this case I agree with the wheel bearing grease thoughts.

We used powdered graphite in the window fuzzies when these cars were newer.......
I have been using silicone grease ( I like NAPA"s Sil glide) in the roller guides..... I " think" it will not harden like a wheel bearing grease will....
