Default Jack it up

I'm planning on bleeding my brakes and changing the diff fluid. My work space is severely limited. I would prefer to jack up the car on the frame rails
but I don't have room. Is jacking up the car under the diff or traverse spring a no-no?

It is acceptable if done correctly....... with correct jack placement and some padding to cushion jack saddle.

Just remember to install jack stands on frame rails after lifting.

When jacking up by the rear spring perch make sure you use a block of wood to help clear the spare tire tub Place the jack stand on the ends of the strut rods on the shock bracket

I have very limited work space in my garage and jacking up my car was usually more work and time consuming than I cared to do.
I fought hard against buying a set of Quick Jacks but finally decided that it was time.
I’ve had the system for about a year and now it’s so easy to lift my car.
The lifts stores under my car when not in use and I just slide the lifts into position, attach the quick connect hydraulic lines, hit the switch and safely lift my car.
I was actually able to lift it high enough that I was able to pressure wash the under side with no problems.
Here is a picture on mine up on the Quick Jacks and this is in the lowest position.

I have jacked up R66 via the differential. As mentioned, use a block to get clearance to the tire carrier - about 1-1/2" I think. I also jacked up the front end by the crossmember, put a 2x6 to span the full width. Jack stands under the frame are a must.
