Borgeson power steering
the two groove pulley on my borgeson ps conversion pump on my 65 has an outside diameter or 6-1/8, straight keyed shaft of 5/8 and very importantly a width of 1-13/16. the forward groove is not used and makes it near impossible to change belts without forcing them between the pulley and the frame and possibly damaging them. does anyone make a single row pulley for these borgeson conversions or am i going to have to have a machine shop remove the outer groove?
EDIT: i found these three pulleys that are all the same. according to the borgeson site the c2 conversion kit requires gm 3834720. classic performance cp38810 and lares 165 are equal to the gm part. (i'm not sure i have this specific kit since it was done a while ago) i'm going to try the cp38810.
SECOND EDIT: in case anyone's listening. the cp38810 lines up very good. single groove and its diameter is slightly smaller. great clearance to remove or install belts! if i shim the pump mounting bracket out about 1/8" the alignment will be perfect, but it works as is.
