Default Exhaust manifold coatings

Anyone have experience with hi-temp paints that WORK on stock cast manifolds ? Also have heard of ceramic coatings for interior of exhaust manifolds that allegedly help heat transfer ? Does this do any good ?

The ceramic coatings are the way to go. They work the best.

Just had my exhaust manifolds ceramic coated by JetHot. They look great and the ceramic coating reduces under hood temperatures substantially and actually make them flow better. They are coated inside and out and should last a lifetime.

Eastwoods stainless steel paint have been on my manifolds for about 8 years with no rust through. They were sandblasted first. They now make 3 or 4 different colors of the stuff. Cheaper than ceramic but the heat reduction would be worth while if you can afford ceramic. :)

Jet Hot charged 195.00 to do my manifolds inside and out and included return shipping. It is expensive but I believe the results are worth the money. The coating inside smoothes the exhaust passages which enhances flow and also insulates the cast iron from the hot gasses thereby reducing the emmission of heat from the manifolds significantly. I'm sure there are other similar processes out there but when you are talking about quality the preparation is the key to longevity and good preparation tranlates into hours and consequently dollars.
