I wouldn't worry too much about it. The info posted several years ago is just as good today as it was then.

Ya it was 3 am and I couldn't resist using the above punch line.

I am sure I have dug up older posts more than a few times.

Why would you run 43's on a street engine?

Probably because he didn't read this thread from 11 years ago or if he did, he didn't read all the posts, including the first one!

Default I have run these with some special prep!

Not in a stock engine, but they (AC 43's) did Ok, after I filed the tips back to open up the spark exposure (side gapped) and tapered the point somewhat, stretched the gap to .42 and indexed them in the heads all because of the MSD 6L boxes and the tall MSD coil. Just got to know what you are working with! I was personally liking the quality of the Autolite 202's and NGK plugs for old school running! But sometimes the store has what the store has, and I was less prone to wait around for special orders! My opinion nowadays is no one should be running an old school plug anymore, unless you are just ignorant!

Maybe if you want some throw away plugs that are far cheaper to work on your tuning, then get some of this stuff and refine your tune, balance it all out with some trial and era going thru a few sets, but then throw them in the trash and get the modern stuff!

PS and that was on the Streets! Got to know what you are doing!
