I'm 6'5", 320lbs and fit just fine in my '63. I'ver driven just about every year Vette, and the midyears are by far the roomiest for a big guy. The '63's have two added adjustments- a steering column that slides in and out 3-4" and seats that have vertical adjustments at each corner. This allows you to raise the front two and lower the rear two, leaning the seat back for more room. Solid axles and C3's are the worst, by the way. I just talked a buddy of mine (6'6") into buying a SWC for the same reason.
Good Luck!

I'm 6'3 and I'd swear I have more leg room in my 66 than I do in my 89. With both tops up I have more headroom in the 66. My 89 has 6-way power seats and even with tilt I can get it the best it's going to get and then the wife whose 5'2 in heels drives it and it takes me another month to get it just right.

c2s (63-7) have more leg room than c1,c3, or c4, but at 6'4.5" - I opted for Recaro seats to lower my butt and support the thighs. - I also swapped to a 13.5" walnut wheel and extended the steering column away from the instruments as far as it would go (nontelescoping are all adjustable with a wrench) - that gives me lots of knee room and easy access.
I believe that the convertibles have more head room - which is fine with me - I love ragtops. :lurk:
