Talked to my '67's original owner last night
Fortunately I got a ton of paperwork with my '67, including the POP, owners manual, etc. and the names of the previous owners, including the original owner.
After a little web surfing I called his number and spoke to him last evening. He sure was excited to hear about his old car from 36 years ago- it was his first new car after he got out of college. Since then he's owned a bunch of other Corvettes and currently has a C5 in his garage.
So now I've been able to speak with owner #1, #3 and #4 (I'm #5). (Owner #2 is deceased, unfortunately)
Has anyone been able to track down their car's original owner?

I got lucky last winter and traced my '66 coupe's history all the way back to day one. Have talked to owner's #1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7. Will probably take the car for a visit to the original owner next summer.

Yep, I'm number 3 on the list, number 2 is a family friend that had it for 20 yrs prior and the original owner still lives in the same house he did when he bought the car!

I have been able to talk with #3,4 and 5. I am #6 for my 1960 vette. I am still try to find the name of #2. I know who #1 was, but he will not correspond even though he still is active in a corvette club 500 miles away).
I will keep trying!

I was only able to track back the 3 previous owners. :( Kinda neat to see where it's been. :)

He said he was going to look for some pictures and send them to me so I could make copies. I did that with owner #3 who owned it back in the early eighties.

I talk to / see owners 2 and 3 fairly often (actually they co. raced the car, and have been friends since the early 60's.) Owner (#1) I have not located. (or even tried) They (a newlywed couple) only owned the car for a few months, drove to NY & back, then divorced and turned the car back in to Baher Chevrolet. Used car Salesman Dick Guldstrand called Walt Lister & sold him the returned car on 10-5-65.
So I am owner # 3 1/2 - 4.
Owners 2-3 and I have got together a few times. 2003 Huntington Beach Concourse was the last meeting.
How to track down the 1st owners of 4-5 months? I have no idea.? :lurk:
