Default Where can I buy AC Delco oil filter PF35 ?

I went to Auto Zone today, as well as Discount Auto and Pep Boys.
None of them carry it.
Where did you buy yours, and how much did you pay ?
I picked up a 454 just in case I can't find a 35. The 35 is quite
a bit longer, and thus holds more oil.

Thanks

They are discontinued in the USA but still available from GM Canada (made in Oshawa, Ontario). I can ship you a case (12) if you wish.

AC has discontinued the PF35 and many of their other old numbers. PF35 has been replaced by the PF1218, according to kragen.com.

Alan, believe it or not I have had excellent luck looking for oil filters going to a local GM (in this case a Pontiac) dealer. One thing is for sure, if they have a Delco part, you will get a Delco part. And also, believe it or not, the prices are actually in line with the local AutoZone and PepBoys.

Thanks, but I don't need a lifetime supply
I want to try and find one locally, or just use the 454 I bought today.

The best direct replacement is the PF1218 developed for the 1990 ZR-1. It has an anti-spill check valve incorporated for the horizontal fit on that motor. Of course that is not terribly relevant for a vertical fit. The PF454 was developed for the 8.1L GMC V8 but will do the job.

:bb Sorry I made a mistake, the filters I have are PF-52s, I answered without going to the garage to check, I wonder if the PF-52 would fit it is a deeper filter.

Try NAPA if they're in your area. I believe they carry AC Delco brand. The big chains usually don't.

Went back to Auto Zone and exchanged the 454 for the 1218
I'm good to go. Thanks all.

Is the pf35 the "complete" filter that they started using in 67? I still use the cartrage but I belive both have replacements available from Fram if that helps. (the cartage is hidden, so I've never worried about the logo.) I get them at the local Kragen. :yesnod:

I am not 100% sure but I think it is. I used it on all the C4s I have owned, they had to switch to the short filter when the went to the C5 because the c5 engine is much lower to the ground.
