Ted,
An absolutely beautiful build. I wish had just half of your skills. Can you tell us what was done to refinish the intake manifold and valve covers? They are brilliant.
Thanks,
John
Hi John,
Thank you for the compliment. I appreciate it
The engine builder did them. He told me when I picked it up, but I was too excited to remember what he said. I'll ask him and report back. I do like them as well.
Test fitted the transmission mount and exhaust hanger bracket. It seems I'll have to modify the ehaust hamger to move it forward. Also the speedo 90 degree thingy is in the way, which bites.
Progress.
I think the underside of a C2 is a work of art!
Really good progress on the 64.
TKX shifter installed but waiting on a new center armrest cover to arrive, then I can button up the interior. Installed clutch linkage, starter, exhaust manifolds, battery cables, heater hoses, radiator/radiator shroud, and their hoses.
Then alternator, fan clutch assembly and belt.
Replaced the rear rubber brake lines. Dated early 90s!
Primed the engine oil and found a bad washer.
Getting close to setting the Aces TBI body. Still need to weld a bung on the lead pipe for O2 sensor.
Getting closer!
Ted,
You're absolutely killing it!! Small, quick observation...the upper adjustment arm on your alternator should be "behind" the boss not in front as you currently have it. The bolt, lock washer and thick washer secure the arm from the backside of the alternator boss. Keep on truckin'

Thanks Leif! I thought the alt bracket looked "bent", but it was because of improper ibstall location. Ill change in the am.
Ted
Oops!
Resumed installing front grill and bumper. Now working on rear bumpers. What pia!
Installed ground stap from frame to antenna, and also connected the steering coupler now that the body bushings are done. My list is getting smaller!
Ted, you have the magic touch! Every time I select an item, I find 5 reasons / ways it won't work as easily as it should. Awesome progress, you'll have the first 1,000 miles on it by the time I finish 3 things from my list.
