Default 64 Roadster with a LT-4 6 speed and a Roadster Spec chassis

I am gathering the pieces for another build. This will be my first Vette project. I have a lot of Fords. My son and I have been building 60-70 Mustangs. I got the Corvette bug and I was considering a C1 or 2. I settled on the roadster. I will be picking up the car in March but I have already ordered the chassis and I purchased a LT4 from a 23 Camaro with 3K miles on it. I got the trans as well I will post a few pics of the parts as I go along. If anyone has done one of these please I am open to pointers!

Nice project. I finished my 65 coupe last fall. It’s also on a roadster shop chassis. You’re going to want to get a Dynamic Corvettes rear floor kit. You’ll also need to modify the trans tunnel or buy one from Dynamic. I put an ls3 in mine so I cant help with the lt4 but there are others that have done it. Here’s a pic of mine.

Here is a a few pictures of the car. The guy I got it from said it hasn’t run since 78. But it’s what I wanted a complete original car with a rotted frame that hasn’t been hit.

Nice Project. If the frame is rotted out did you check the birdcage for rot? They can rot out also. Hope yours is good. Welcome aboard!

Very pretty Coupe! I need a coupe and i haven't even started this project. I ordered a tunnel top and a spec roadster tub kit from Dynamic. I also purchased a set of NOS Brembo calipers from a ZR-1. I am trying to get all the pieces together. I still need to figure if I need the dynamic inner fenders and smooth firewall. I haven't found anyone that used the stock pulley setup. I would love to see pics of that. Some guys have used the Wegeners. It is pretty but if I can use the stock stuff I don't see the point of dropping 3K for puleys

The guy I bought the car from is a friend of Mid Year Mitch. He has been around C1's and 2's for years. He said the birdcage was mint.

Very cool! Looks like a great candidate to start with.

Should be an excellent performing car when done!
