Thanks! I do get frustrated at times with fitment, small spaces and there seems to be something always in the way. Some things that should take a few minutes can turn into several hours.

Keep plugging away and get driving your C2!

Set the new drive shaft, easy peasy. Started setting the exhaust system. Marked the O2 sensor location so I can weld the bung on it and then set it. Also placed the spark plug wire from the plugs up. Will finish them in a day or 2.

Ted, is that a 1330 ujoint on the driveshaft? I’m running a 1350 and it’s close to the tunnel, but yours looks even closer.

Hi Mark,
Those are 1310's. It has about +3/8" clearance to the passenger tunnel wall. The engine and transmission sat down in a relaxed location in that spot. So I bolted it in there. Should I move it towards drivers side a tad more? I'll sight down the length to see if it is acceptable.
My angle on shaft is +3 on tkx and -1 on pinion yoke.
Thanks!
Ted

I wouldn’t if it is aligned with the differential in the vertical plane. 3/8” is plenty unless you are going to add more tunnel insulation under the car. That alignment should work, although lowering the tranny another degree or so would help. I would run it like that and check carefully for any vibration.

She’s looking great!

Thanks for the input. Ill have a look at again it by this weekend.

Currently getting the O2 bung welded and then finishing the exhaust, then spark plug wires then running through the Aces startup cchecklist.

Installed the plug wires. Cut them to length.

Installed the driver's side exhaust. Once the passenger's side lead pipe gets welded I'll be able set it in.

You are moving along. Good job. Where did aces recommend the O2 placement? Here is where I put mine for my ProFlo 4.

Thanks. They want it placed 6-10" down stream of manifold outlet. So mine will be past the lead pipe bend on the horizontal area of the pipe.

I finally cranked the engine over but realized my starter is super weak. So I have a new high torque one on order. Fun turning the key the first time though!
