Did you look to see if you could see the vin on the frame? I had a title issue where someone in NY had entered my VIN. When the auto theft detective came out to verify my car he was only interested in the frame vin. There are two stampings on the frame. One is under the drivers door and the other on the driver side rear frame after the kickup. You can’t see under the door until you raise the body.
I used a small mirror and iPhone to see mine. I started with a green pad and water but was advised to use a toothbrush and water to clean the dirt off off the stamping as they aren’t that deep. The blue tape in the picture is below the VIN on top of the frame.
Did you order a new chassis yet? I hear it takes awhile.
Not yet. I’m still kicking around which chassis to order.
It would be easy if one stood out from the rest, but there are quite a few where the quality and performance are very high.

The requirements may be different in your state.
Im not sure how they will check, but seeing that this is a One owner C2, I shouldn’t (I hope) have any issues.
