Default 1965 327

Sorry, I meant C-19-5 not C-19-6. I must have hit the wrong key when putting the information in.

Default Vin Number

Yes I agree with that and I"m wondering if it was stamped with a passenger vin instead of a corvette vin because they were built at the same plant? If that is possible can anybody tell me what the value would be on this set up?

one thing to think about is that unless the vin# on the pad is for your car the whole pad becomes pretty much wrong.Especially with a pass car vin as that engine code was never in a pass car.So pretty much you would be buying casting# and date as well as condition and what ever else comes with it.Especially if some one where thinking of restamping for their car.Because the whole pad will need to be wiped out

Default "180 " block

My 65 has its original March 6 block and is an "870". Although "180 blocks" have turned up in 65's I would think quantity is extremly limited.
VIN's were added to the block at the car assembly plant.
Anyone have any estimates?

Unless you found THE original car that block came from, what you have is a small jounal 327.

HN suffix code could be 65 Corvette, or 68 Camaro, or 69 Passenger car. Date code would be a determining factor. Something is missing here (5S224388 0326HN). There should be a letter in front of the 0326HN. It would be a F or a V or a T? Which is it?

Can you post pics of this engine pad?

Default 327

Due to all of the concerns with the front pad stamping I have returned the shortblock to the person I sold it to. I can pass along his information if anyone was interested in purchasing the block. It is my opinion it was stamped with a passenger vin stamping and not the correct vette vin stamp. It looks to be real to me but the numbers do not go with a corvette. Thankyou for all of your questions and help on this block. I don't want to sell something that is not genuine and have it come back on me.
