3720991 56 corvette short block
I have a 1956 corvette short block I bought a few years back, I bought it for the fact it was a small block not knowing what it actually was. It was freshly rebuilt with rod/crank bearings, it is bored .60 over with 4valve relief pistons, I'm not sure if the crank is cast or forged, its in excellent condition. Only had a few hundred miles on the rebuild, but im sure most corvette builders will rebuild anyways. The casting number is 3720991, I'll have to post a sate code when I can find it. Its got a good amount of paint on it.
I'm gonna throw a number out if its to high pm or text or email me
If calling leave message
800$
Thanks Kevin

OK to start I apologize I was "told" it was a corvette block. I did not pull the engine yrs ago I bought it off of my wife's uncle.
And the date code on the pad where most Chevy blocks are stamped there are no numbers. I'm thinking that the block might have been milled or shaved, not sure which its called on the block. I was told there was minimal valve clearance between the heads it had but they were removed before i bought it.
Now the numbers on the back that are to the right of the casting numbers are "L1555" which I'm guessing is December 15, 1955. On the front the numbers are "F62663" these numbers are right under where the front of the intake would be. These are directly above the timing chain cover and are upside down. I'm trying to post these pica forgive me I'm on mobile. And if anyone wants to give me info even if they are not interested is appreciated.
Please no rude comments. I understand we all have our certain intrests in cars and I don't know the whole casting/Suffix code ordeal.
Thanks.
