Learning something new! Is one preferred over the other? Current one is cast and a holly.
I would not have a problem with either one if they are equal. thanks

All intake manifolds are cast. Some are cast aluminum, some are cast iron (heavy!!!). Aluminum ones are preferred assuming you are not looking for as-born, and are not going to have your car judged and assuming your car came with cast iron.
Holley, or any other popular aftermarket intake manifold company for that matter, never made a cast iron manifold that I'm aware of.
1964 Corvettes came with 3 different engines:
1) 327 Base engine, rated @ 300hp, cast iron intake manifold painted orange, steel valve covers painted orange.
2) 327 Hi-Perf option, rated @ 365hp, aluminum intake manifold left unpainted except for overspray, finned aluminum valve covers with 'Corvette' script.
3) 327 Fuel Injected option, rated @ 375hp, fuel injection setup, finned aluminum valve covers with 'Corvette' script.
In my opinion, 1960fi has what you want unless you know that your car came with base engine and you're shooting for as-born originality.

Thanks for all the information and your reply. Of course, you are correct and my holly is cast aluminum. I have a base engine code RD, for 300 hp but it has double hump heads (holly) and the manifold with a 4 bbl holly carb. So, I feel certain the hp is more near 350 or above.
Appreciate your reply.l
