Early 63 AM/FM's have two transistor transformer coupled audio amplifier's similar to the 63 AM only Wonderbar and 64's were upgraded to four transistors. (65-67's had an improved four transistor audio amp and were good radios.)

When did the 64 upgrade occur? My car's production date is Dec. of '63. Thx.

Got a very nice radio from Jon at Corvette Specialties in Kansas City. Nice Customer Service for anyone looking for parts.

I have a spare, but not sure how to tell which year since I don't understand the electronics talk here. I can say it has the red FM/AM instead of black that I've seen.

Contact Jon @ Corvette Specialties of Kansas City. I just got a real nice am/fm from him. I am pretty sure I know the differences but he can let you know for sure. Thx.
