Default WTS: 1967 Muncie M21 Four Speed ($800)

For sale is a 1967 dated Muncie M21 four speed. Overall this transmission is in excellent condition. The stamped date code on the case is P7B21, which translates to February 21st, 1967. The case is somewhat rare in that it doesn't have a VIN stamped in it as most transmissions do. The info on the trans is as follows:

Case- 3885010
Side Cover- 38854685
Tail Housing- 3857584
Bearing Retainer- 3915020
Assembly Code- P7B21

It appears as though this transmissions was rebuilt not too long before I got it. The synchro rings, bearings, and sliders were all in almost new condition. The gears themselves are also in really nice condition for something that is 49 years old. The engagement teeth show very little wear on them. There are no chips, or breaks anywhere. The only flaw with the gear set is there is a little bit of pitting on some of the teeth. This will not alter the performance in any way.

The transmission was taken completely apart, everything cleaned in a parts washer, and then re-assembled with new gaskets, seals, and input gear retaining nut. All of the wear parts were in such nice condition that nothing else needed replacing. Below is a link to all pictures of the trans:

All this transmission needs is to be filled with oil and installed in a car. Feel free to call, text, or message with any and all questions. My number is (Seven Six Zero)803-7240. My name is Mike.

Hi Mike, It looks real nice. If it were dated something like Oct or Nov '66 I'd be interested for my car. Why is it for sale, did you put a tremec 5 speed in your car?

regards!
