Default Rochester Fuel Injection 7300, fresh rebuild and running great. $3900

Corvette Rochester 7300 fuel injection unit, recently rebuilt and running great on my car, $3900. This unit was installed on my dad's 1957 Corvette in the early 60's, and has been running on the same car for the last 54 years. It is a combination of the earlier 57-59 plenum, manifold, and air meter with the later 61 fuel meter. It was rebuilt 2 years ago and then kept sealed in a temperature controlled environment until installed two months ago. Starts and runs great. Only three hours run time since rebuild. Some details:

FI 70177300 serial number 1153
Air meter cast 7014922, stamped 7017301
Fuel meter 252
FI distributor 1110990
$2800 rebuild late 2014
Includes FI unit and manifold, correct 57 air cleaner and balance tube, distributor, cap and distributor oil connection, spare FI drive cable, and Rochester FI manual. Everything you need to bolt on and go.
Updates include electric external anti-siphon valve and thicker plenum gasket to prevent fuel percolation when hot. No problems with vapor lock when stuck in stop-and-go traffic in 95 degree weather returning from Bloomington Gold.
No choke. Always starts for me cold with a shot of starting fluid and wrapping the air cleaner. Instant start once run that day, every time.

Why sell? My 57 Corvette was originally a 283/245 dual quad car, and now that I want to sell it, everybody wants a correct dual quad setup. It has worked well on my car for 50+ years, and now needs a good home.

Can ship anywhere in the US. Will be carefully packed (I have shipped several other FI units in the past for rebuilding) and will weigh 60 pounds. It will probably cost $100-200 with insurance via FedEx. I can give you an estimate if you give me city and zip code. Or come here to Indianapolis, and we can pull it from my car in less than an hour. It will remain in running condition on my car until sold, as the car is for sale. That way if you want to see and hear it run in person, all the better.

I can also email or text to you a one minute video of it starting, running, and revving as well. Just email me with an email address or phone number.

Email mfrost4802@gmail.com if interested. $3900, or would consider a straight up swap for a complete, numbers correct dual quad setup for an August 1957 245 hp Corvette. Certified check that has cleared is required before I remove for shipping, or cash if you pick up in person.
