Jeffery,
Your title says "wtb tach drive distributor" but I thought a`58 had an electric tach? I have a real nice tach drive for a`62-327/340hp if your interested $175+UPS ready to drop in. I do have a few others if you care to e-mail me direct. redvetracr

On a 58 the tach was driven off of the generator. It wasn't until 62 that the tach drive distributer became standard. I have the tach drive generator, brackets, distributor and cable that were incorrectly put on our 62 if you are interested.

DaBo is correct, fuel injection cars were tach driven off of the distributor, the rest of the cars were driven off of the generator in 1958

I think that you are misunderstanding, the tachs except for the red line are all the same the difference is that on a fuel injection car the tach is driven off of the distributor on the carb cars the generator drives the tach, the drivecables are basically the same thing

Jeffery,

I have two distributors that you may be able to use.

Here are the numbers and the info that I know about them.

1112150 3B27.....used on small blocks 1973-1974...this one built Feb. 1973.

1111926 8J23......used in 1969 for 390 and 400 HP 427 Big Blocks. Built late 1968. This one has a MSD cap and Rotor, and what appears to be fairly new internals

Let me know if you are interested.
