Default Help finding engine c1 !

Hi,

I am the happy owner of a corvette C1 1960, here in Europe.

The problem is that the engine isn't an original one ...
It is a 327 ci (T1122EC) chevelle's engine.
I would like to find an original engine :

casting number 3756519
suffix code : dg/dj

I am ready to send back the chevelle one.

Where can i find a (rebuild) engine ?

Thanks.
Pascal.

I have a 519 complete engine. Dated January 13, 1960 with an engine pad stamp of F114DJ. It came out of a running car but it has not been rebuilt. But I could have it rebuilt here.

Hi,

thanks for the quick answer.
The 270 cv is a fuel injection.
Mine is a carburator version. I would like to stay
in the original configuration!

Thanks.

Obviously it would need to be rebuild. Intake and carb are aftermarket.
$3,000 plus freight

The 270 horse is a dual four barrel carb motor, not fuel injected.

I will get you photos of the block if you are interested. As the person above said 270 HP is a solid lifter dual 4 barrel carburetor. Are looking for a complete motor? Or just the block?
This block came from a 60 corvette vin10330x as stamped on the pad.

Pascal, I have a block and crank. Can also supply oil pan and dual 4 barrel carbs. No Heads. Block will need to be rebuilt with new pistons etc. I am asking $750 fro the block and the crank only. Block is from a 60 corvette vin is 330x. and it is a 270 HP. The assembly stamp is F0I26CU. Which translates to Flint block assembled on January 26th and the CU is for 270 HP dual carburetor with solid lifters. The block was cast A230. Which is January 23 of 1960. Block was cast three days before being assembled. Block and crank are $750. plus shipping. Oil pan and carbs are additional.

Hi,
two more questions :

what would be the price for the block, crank ,carburators and oïl pan?

Is there a firm in the neightbourthood which would be able to rebuild the engine ?

thanks

The oil pan would be $1000. The 2x4 set up is $2500. which includes both carburetors, The intake and the correct 891 distributor. For all of the parts $4200. plus shipping.

I have a 3756519 almost complete engine with suffix code F1031CU, date code J 5 0. Heads are 3774682's both dated D 29 0. Not rebuilt it is in original condition from pan on up minus the intake and dual carbs, distributor, and water pump and pulleys. everything internal still there. Let .e k ow if you want to purchase a numbers matching top rated carbed 270 hp engine for your vette.
