66' Convertible Frame For Sale
What I have is a 1966 convertible frame, it is completely rust free. That said, it is bent just behind the right control arm. Not bad but still bent. Also the rear lower control area mount nor the left side is bent. Both places can be fixed but I bought this for my 67' and between the conversion for my car as well as the repairs I've decided to just buy a 67' frame that is ready to go.
I also have a combo 65' rear welded to a 68' front section coupe frame for sale as well. This frame is also rust free but someone cut out the rear sombrero mounts so these will be to be installed to mount the rear end.
I'm asking $2200 for the 66 frame and $1200 for the combo frame.
These frames can be repaired or modified to suite your needs. I'm not sure how to ship these, so pick up or possible close delivery would be best.
I have more pictures if needed. This is a picture of the 66' frame

Not sure if I should put this in "general" but I'll ask here, give you a bump, and maybe someone else might be wondering the same. Let's say someone WAS interested - does the average frame shop have the knowledge to "un-tweak" a minor bend in a C-2 frame, or does it take a shop with Corvette skills above and beyond?
(Don't put your hopes on me, regardless of any other factors there's a whole continent between us. But hopefully somebody closer to CA will be in the market.)

Yes, I think any good shop with the right equipment could straighten a Corvette frame. The problem, as always, what is the skill level of the operator? There is a shop, I found in Ventura, Ca that does excellent work. He has done several NCRS frames for a restoration shop there who has built Top Flight cars. The price depends on how "perfect" you want the frame as far as looks, dents, ect. He is a 1 man shop and has a full table frame machine and has been doing this for years. He also prefers the frame to be stripped without suspension. I talked to him about my stuff and he said my problems are no big deal and he seems to be a real nice guy. I just wish my frame was for a 67 not a 66 because there is still the cost to convert it for what I need. Therefor the reason I'm looking to start with a correct piece. In the end, for me anyway, the cost may be the same as a new frame once all in. Hope this answers your or anyone else's questions they may have.

I think you would be way ahead to have your 66 frame straightened and weld on the parking brake pulley bracket, weld up the holes for the 66 parking brake cable, and you are good to go.
Without seeing the damage, it is hard to estimate the cost to jig it up on a frame rack, and make the necessary pulls, but maybe a grand or less. It looks like a super nice frame from a rust and pitting point of view that just needs tweaked.
By the time you find a decent 67 frame and pay to have it shipped, you could have this one done and rolling for way less money.
Just my thoughts. Good luck.

I hear you loud and clear about the end result, cost savings, timeframe.
But I'm so gun shy at this point as to spend more money and still not be happy with the result, that's why I can't make up my mind. This frame guy that I've heard about my be a hero or with my luck a zero. That said, I could buy a new frame from Vette Products and still not be happy. Who knows. I'm just tired of 1 step forward and 2 steps back. This is the last "bring it back form the dead" project I have left in me at 65. I very much enjoy the results I've achieved its just the process that sometimes gets me down. Appreciate your advice.
