Default 1966 Convertible Corvette Chassis and Wheels

1966 Convertible Corvette Chassis and Wheels - on Raleigh CL asking $4500

Rolling frame that was under a 1966 Convertible Corvette. Frame is in excellent condition. Has all suspension, brakes and rear end. Left axle will need to be replaced. Has "knock off" style wheels with tires that are included. Headers and sidepipes are not included

Wow, I don't think I have ever seen that many shims stacked at the rear of the upper a-arms. Wonder what is up with that??

Not a bad price including the wheels, but it may have some serious issues with all of those shims.

I can answer the shim question, its done if you want a more aggressive (modern) alignment on a midyear. all the ones I do for myself are just like this, the object is to put as much caster in the car as possible. this gives more responsive steering and handling. It not an issue with the frame at all, and if you do some research you will find as the years went on more and more caster was put into most all cars.

That's a great price. I paid more than that for just a new frame from Vette Products of Michigan

The ad has been pulled down, I believe it has all been sold by now.

It is probably time for a Moderator lock this.

Good luck... GUSTO

READ the various posts, especially the first one and the very next one above yours.

1. OP was not selling this, he was reporting a Craigslist ad which might be of interest.

2. OP says the listing has been taken down from Craigslist. Probably a pretty good indication it's NOT still for sale.
