WTB 1959 Corvette motor and transmission
Hello! I recently purchased a 1959 Corvette vin J59S103744 and it has been completely stripped of the original engine and 4 speed transmission (the placard inside says so), and most of the exterior chrome. I would appreciate any leads you have on these items.
Thank you very much!

Very cool! Can't help with parts but look forward to seeing your progress. Congrats on the acquisition, your addiction is just beginning!

Just a suggestion - fill in your profile to show your location. Might encourage someone nearby to reach out.

OP, if you're looking for numbers matching, knowing the date range you're looking for would be helpful. Also, what engine type are you looking for? A fuelie?
Since you're asking specifically for a '59 drivetrain (instead of a ZZ4) I'm guessing that you are.
Also, IIRC, engines weren't stamped to match the cars until late November 1959, but I may be off on that.

I recently bought a 60 that I will be building as a restomod. I will be parting out the complete chassis and drive train. Please list what parts you are looking for and I'll see if I can help you out. Thanks

Members,
If you are not a Supporting Vendor, you need to provide prices for parts offered here, thanks. A couple posts have been removed already.

59 engine
$400 will buy you a 3756519 block, cast B189, Assembled F219D. Its a complete passenger car engine & I don't think its been apart. With 2bbl heads & intake.

A '59 fuelie is a highly desirable car, but it will likely be a very expensive endeavor to put one back together missing all of the expensive parts. How solid is the rest of the car? You could be into close to 6 figures to restore it, and thousands of hours of labor.
