What car are you using the 43-5 on? The 43-5 were not the plugs that were hard to find. The 43-5R is the plug used on a 55. I only came across a dozen of them in ten years. Jeff Salz was the only person who had them in the past and it's been years since he had any at Bloomington Gold or Carlisle. Jeff stated that it was the AC43-5 and not the AC43-5COM plugs that were on the 55 corvette.

You bought a nice set with the box in excellent shape, but on March 25, ten of the AC43-5 sold for $34.

John, I need them for my '55 Corvette. The JM stipulates 43-5R COM plugs. You are thinking non COM plugs (43-5R) are correct? Do you think a non resistor 43-5 plug is acceptable for NCRS? You might remember me, I bought some parts from you last summer, and came to your house to pick them up.

Steve Newsom is the best person to contact on judging matters. For more information on the correct plugs, log into the NCRS forum. "1955 Spark Plugs"(nov 24, 2017) and "Correct 1955 AC Spark Plugs"(dec 27,2017

True, but I didn't have time to ask any questions. They were for sale for 1 hour when I found the add, and already had 200 hits, so I pulled the trigger.

John, would you happen to have a set of fiber style hood stabilizers for a '55? I've run into 2 people who say they have them, but neither have answered my PM's about purchasing. Thanks.

Brett Henderson (Vette Daddy) reproduces the fiber blocks.
