Hugh,
I don't have his contact info handy but he advertises in the NCRS Driveline and Hemings. Im sure a google search will find him. As mentioned he's in ST. Louis. His son Robbie works with him. He has a large inventory and he likely can do your carbs with all the correct numbers and details.

I can understand codes for year of manufacture but due carbs / intakes have specific day / month dates inscribed to make them early or late year production ? If it is found, is February vs October that critical ? Is this information clarified by serial number break down ? If a car factory produced with a 2 x 4 set of carburetors lost in its shuffle of owners, ......... replacing with another set make it a TRUELY a matching number car which I assume is the main goal ? A statement, they are only original once, is an opinion I share.

This isn't my thread but as long as the casting numbers are correct for the 270hp, the primary side main nozzles are inverted, longer counterweight levers, front base plate is not drilled and taped for vac and the side linkage mounting screw, and brass tags properly stamped--things would be "correct" to me? I have seen restored sets listed on ebay from $3300 to $5600. Hopefully someone will help the original poster get there.

So they didn't necessarily date ( month day, year ) the parts by serial number but made running changes that make them time ( year ) specific ? Looking for a set also . Not concerned by year if 56 to 62 . Just the correct vintage set up functioning properly.
