I'm BAAAAACK! God Bless the USA!!!
Spring is in the air and I need help solving the sloppy steering problem on my Roadster. Haven't worked on the vette in nearly two years while I've been off serving my country. I suspect that either my steering column or my steering gear box my be the culpit. Are there any ways for me to determine exactly which component is defective and can I fix the problem myself or should I opt to have someone rebuild the defective component once I have identified the problem?

recently had same complaint on my 79. Found out why, a bad lower control bushing. Ordered VBP's front monoleaf spring and lower control arms.installation went easy(thanks guys at VBP-great product),but still had slop afterwards. Finally replaced flexible coupling,bought at my local chevy dealer and had alignment done(about $100.00) and now she drives almost like new. Wanting to get 17" or 18' wheels, which I hear also helps the ride out...lots of posts on steering problems,do search and good luck.
