Side Exhaust
The brown truck delivered my factory side exhaust pipes today. I looked down the inlet and can see daylight. These things are going to be really loud with my BB and I'm worried about taking early morning sunday drives in the future.

GM factory - plain jane pipes, the kind that require the factory or in my case the fiberglass covers. There are pic's in any major vette catalog.

I had 69 fac side exhaust on my 68 427, and I liked them! I have the hookers on my 67 427, and they will be coming off soon! The hooker side pipes with the supplied mufflers are way to restrictive.

You're just helping your neighbors get to church on time.

Ditch the Hooker inserts and get STS baffles instead

the JCL baffles with the tips cut off are nice sounding and not restrictive att all...you will keep the Hookers if you get them...

Any comparison between the JCLs with and without the caps? I have the caps on mine and I've wondered what they would sound like without them...

Thanks,
I started the project in October of 2004. This is the third car that I have done a complete restoration and my first vette. The vette is by far the most fun out of the three and this forum is the best on the internet.
