pricey but necessary over about 500 hp. Thanks for the info on the Ujoints btw, I didnt know anything about the strength of various series . WOW I cant wait to get my car I have such a huge list of crap to do... Im still waffling over which engine to put in the damn thing though... hopefully by this time next year Ill be running constant 11s, (engine will be either a 625hp natural SB or a 700hp TTSB) but Id like to hit a high 10 within 16 months.

I've done 7.14 in the eighth with a 1.49 sixty foot. Certainly not the fastest but pretty good for a car not setup for drag racing. I think that equates to about an 11.3 quarter mile.

pwrmaster xs starter weighs only 9 lbs
aluminum radiator w/dual 11" spals
383/ with edel rpm aluminum heads
aluminum intake and carb
stripped hood insulation, extra carpet insulation and other weighty crap
lost the rear spare
lost the radio---(that thing weighs about 10lbs with speaker!!)---replaced it with switch panel.
other various stripping that I can't think of right now.

I have not taken mine to the dragstrip yet, I would say I haven't seen any lower numbers than VETDRMS in a streetable setup and on street tires

If you're a college student with no income and a vette like that, you have to let us know how you're doing that. Money tree in your dorm room?

Uh-Oh, Did I say something?
I usually keep pretty busy selling computers/repairing computers, or working on web pages. I have been so swamped with trying to graduate and take the CFA exam I haven't been doing that this semester so the Vette funds are drying up. :'(
Let me word that differently, no "reportable" income.

Forgot to mention.. The trailing arms are Offset Trailing arms and I'm running 28 x 13.5 - 15 ET Street Slicks
In order to fit the big tires without sticking out, I had to remove the rear sway bar, install a narrowed spring and had some minor curring on the frame done (where it comes down to the trailing arm mount..

Still got a lot of tuning etc. to do before 10's are possible... The hot temps don't help either...
Might take until fal before I hit 10's unless I'll add the 150 shot before then...
