I lived in Japan for 8 years, and I bought my first Vette over there. I bought a new 1988 for 3.2 million yen. That is around 30k! These people are normally called "Bosozoku" meaning roudy, tacky, tasteless teenagers. I never saw things this extreme, I guess its gettting out of hand hugh! I agree it is awfull what people thinks looks good! I saw quite a few C3's while living there. I remember I got stuck in the snow in Yokohama, and loved having bunch of Japanese pushing my vette out of it!

Ummmm, I might not be a structural engineer but wouldn't the tailpipes and some of those huge "spoilers" fold as soon as you made a turn?

Melting Slicks
Hi guys,
Don't worry all those cars that you thought may be U.S cars, they are not!, they were all toyota crown's or similar that were total ripoffs of contemporary U.S. design. The one that looks like a mustang is just an old celica, or as I like to refer to them sillycar!
As for the mods OMG with everyone these guys ar nuts and they make me feel sick
Having said that there are some serious street racer guys in ***. I have been there and seen some of the stuff they get up to. The cops there are a joke, most of them ride bicycles around or drive silly little cars that couldn't catch a standard model T ford with 4 flat tyres! One night there was a group of street racers that I sat and watched at about 3am coming down this long straight street in a built up area at the end of the street was a T intersection where there was a train station and a police office! They would come down the street one at a time at high speed, slam on the brakes doing a hand-brake turn at the end and flooring it back up the road, they did it for a good 45mins and the cops did NOTHING.
