Default New free-flowing exhaust is in [PICS]

I ordered 4" Dynomax Race Bullets and the plan was to install everything under the stock sidepipe covers. The Bullets were too big to go under the cover, so i got some smaller diameter glasspack (don't know the manufacturer name) and reversed the flow. They looked basically like the Bullets only smaller, and its a straight through design. They hang alittle low, but i'll live with it, because it definitely feels like I got 50 more hp especially compared to the restrictive Allens sidepipes that were on it.

2.5" pipe

yea thats what the guy i know at the muffler shop told me they did to drag cars that need to have mufflers. The little baffles inside (when installed the right way) holds back pressure to restrict flow and decrease sound. When reversed, its like the pressure is downflow therefore, theres no resistance. Its a straight thru design..its loud as hell.

Default Redshark - can you take pics

when you take them off, that's the set-up I want to go with on my 71, I'm having a 383 built. I already have the side pipe covers which I like the looks of better than the hookers.
Are you using the hedman side pipe headers, how did you go about fabing up the rest of the set-up from the collector to the side pipe?

Did you have any fitment issues between the idler arm and header on the passenger side.

Getting my engine this weekend, and would like to get started on the exhaust set-up.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Looks awesome!

Ive got a set of original covers (need re-chroming), no insulators and no pipes....just trying to work out whether or not its worth the effort and money...but seeing yours makes me think 'go for it!'

I have the Hedman headers. I have a friend that works at a local muffler shop, so I got to play with the bending machine and fab up some different bends and throw on some welds. the key was to get everything hidden under the covers, but its hard, because I can't have any pipe or muffler touching the cover or the frame. Nothing touches, and everything is cleared nicely.
