Peter Maxx vette collection
Came across this on a Pontiac forum. It's an interesting collection, wonder if it'll ever be finished or if he'll sell it for a profit as is? Joe

This guys collection is sad. He doesn't even drive the cars and is not a car person.

I remember that contest VH1 put on...entered it a bunch of times. It's a cryin' shame that the guy who won these Vettes let this bozo buy them off of him. There's some serious automotive history wasting away in that basement

Wow! That's a flash from the past! Anybody that grew up in the 60's is familiar with Peter Maxx posters. He did the psychedelic day-glo posters that everybody had in their room with the black light and strobe light going. Too bad he doesn't appreciate Corvettes.

I had dinner last month with the guy who won the cars boss (at the time). When he found out that I was into Vettes, he told us the story, (I also entered the contest). He said he couldn't afford the taxes/fees...

Well I certainly remember the contest and I still have two of the VH-1 T-shirts that say "36 Corvettes and one winner no kidding". (Maybe worth $$$ on e-bay??? ) At the time, rumor had it that in fact the cars were painted and there was a winner for the cars. Now I'm thinking that the whole contest was a VH-1 farse that just never panned out.
A couple months ago we went to a Peter Max gallery showing (Peter was present) and I was thinking of asking him about the cars. Guess I really should have.
