Intake manifold gasket job is done
Well I finally finished the new intake manifold gasket job on my '82 and I DID change the oil after getting a little water in it. See http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...post1550609776
Had to repull the distributor, find DTC and drop distributor back in (took awhile) and set the timing, she runs good and the first thing I noticed was that it runs quieter and smoother, the same thing happened with my sons car when he changed his intake manifold gasket a few weeks ago, he started the car and it definitely runs smoother and quieter. Problem is I don't have as much "rumble" as before so now I'm thinking of changing the cat to a high flow and the mufflers to Dynomax or something (looking for suggestions) I like that strong low rumble sound.
Maybe I should do side pipes???? Thanks to all of you that steered me in the right direction during this project.
