I goofed in my writing, I only butt-spliced the oil pres, volt and water temp sender wires to use the original harness. The rest was run whole as a new harness.
Were you able to keep the stock warning lights working?

Yes, even added a stock check engine light from a 80-81 for the ls-1 processor and will get the low fuel light working. There is an article about it on corvettefaq.com
