I wonder if cops ever get a common sense cours with there training. Tickets are a small example of this, look at the lattest cop shooting in the states,, I believe 120 shots fired on a unarmed man,,,lolollll Don't get me wrong, I respect the law and GOOD cops.

My only ticket in my Vette was 92 in a 55 when I lived in Texas a few years ago. The Officer wrote it up as 79 in a 55 because at that time anything 25 mph over the posted required a court appearance. He was cool about it and loved my car (I think that helped). I paid the fine through the mail and went to the drivers school to keep the ticket off my record.

Although it's been a while, all my tickets were in my low performance vehicles. I've driven a Charger R/T, a Hemi Roadrunner, a SS396 El Camino, a Jag XKE and a souped-up TransAm as well as four Vettes (including a 68 435 HP) and never been nailed in them. I had a pick up that attracked tickets like flies, and I never had it over 85! Maybe it was payback for what I got away with in the fun cars.

The very first day I let my wife drive her 77 after I put heads and cam on it, she got pulled over less than a mile from work on her way home. Good thing she's a clerk in the courthouse and one of the officers she works with pulled over behind the one that caught her (65 in a 50) and got her a warning. Good thing I told her to take it easy on it for a couple weeks.

My wife got one on an AF installation in a residential zone... All domestic residential zones are 25 mph. She has never been on the installation before - so she does 25... she got nailed for the ticket doing 10 over... she was so pissed - cussing and swearing at the 1stLt... she almost got arrested.

Your point is? My take is, they need more mandatory target practice. Should have got him with 3 to 6 shots

Hey guys-----if you had to see all the dead bodies that we constantly see from accidents involving speed then you might have a different opinion about us guys with the blue lights. By the way, I always give professional courtesy-----that is to Vette owners.
