I have read about this in several locations around the net. Anyone can claim anything but what really counts is actual real world testing. RMR's jammers do nothing and the dectectors are very poor at best. I've even read about the Valentine One, while being a very good detector unlike the RMR junk, still is not the best in all situations. There are several other brands/models that perform as well, w/o the $400+ price tag.

However all that said, I'm looking for a remote radar/laser system to use in the C4. Don't want to "plop" one on the dashboard or hang it from the windshield. Looks like I'm going to be getting a Escort SRX system after much research and speaking w/several radar detector reps. I know these remote systems can be pricey, but I have the advantage of being able to get it for distributor cost which is two steps below retail. It really is amazing just how much and how many times car electronics is marked up between the manufacturer and the consumer. FWIW.
