Found this quote:

"Quality ceramic coated headers from Dynomax.
Dynomax ceramic coated headers have the performance you crave at a price that won't break the bank. They're computer-bent and leak-tested, have die-cut exhaust port flanges, and machine-formed and hand-welded primary tube ends for unrestricted exhaust flow. Another feature is a bright ceramic coating by Jet-Hot inside and out that not only looks good, but will last forever. "

Do they come with any guaranty?

Also, since it's one tube and not the one next to it is it possible that cylider is too hot? Just a guess.

I've had mine for 3+ years and although they don't have their original luster, the coating has not come off and they don't look anything like that. I'm sorry to see that.

Wow, mine certainly don't look like that. I do not drive in the rain unless I have too, so that may be something to do with it.

Looks like something got on them (oil?) that ate up the coating. The high temp area is at the upper part of the tubes near the head so I doubt that it was a heat issue.

"...will last forever. "

Time to make a call for a replacement.

I would check to see what the fine print is on the statement " will last forever"

I would think that statement applies only to manufacturing defects, and would not apply to other mechanical reasons. If it was found that brake fluid was dripping on it, or that it was rubbing against a steel cable, or a symptom such as was described with the possibility of a cylinder heat causing this, then it may not be covered.

If the ceramic coating is chipping or flaking off, like you show in your photo, then the cause may be improper treatment of the headers, and should be replaced.

Do you think you can find your receipt? Then log onto the website and see what the limited warranty conditions are.

Well that just stinks. I have read and seen this before with Dynomax coating. I have Dynomax headers too, but opted for the black style and had an industrial shop coat mine.

Default Contact them!

Start out nice and if necessary ask for a supervisor and start mentioning that you have the attention of potential customers on this forum....
I like to think most vendors oare on the up and up and will stand by their product.
Good luck and keep us posted

Went to their website and found this:

Dynomax Headers
Dynomax Headers carry a 90 day warranty against defects in materials or craftsmanship. Any modifications to the product, or use inconsistent with the intended application, voids this warranty. Parts and Labor are not covered.

I don't know where the "last forever" quote came from. If it's from a magazine, then that's an OPINION and not a guarantee. You are past the 90 days so you are probably scrued.

If you don't get anywhere with Dynamax try Jet-Hot (1-610-277-5646).

After more than 3 years, mine are kind of dull looking now, but certaintly not rusted.
