will the edelbrock performer RPM intake fit under the stock '80 hood?
I want an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, but I also want to keep my stock '80 hood. Can it be done? What carb and air cleaner options work best?

Yeah, you can make it work but it is close. My 650 speed demon would not work with the drop base I had so I wound up going with the edelbrock seen in my photos (I hear it has its own problems). I still had to trim about .5" off the ring to get it to fit.

I have the same combo but I made my droped air filter.
